Peter Friend has been with NFP for over two decades. He brings thirty years of experience in the healthcare field as an executive, consultant, speaker, and innovator. Mr. Friend previously served in a senior executive capacity in three healthcare institutions, including his previous role as Executive Vice President/Chief Operating Officer of Highland Park Hospital (IL), and helped orchestrate a merger with NorthShore University HealthSystem.

He has developed a unique partnership with another NFP firm that is a national leader in providing superior tax-favored deferred compensation solutions for non-profit healthcare executives and their employed physicians.

Mr. Friend's insurance practice is focused on helping individuals from high to ultra-high net worth business owners and families with multi-generational wealth. He brings to his clients the consultative services provided by NFP including, but not limited to, executive benefits, employee benefits, and both commercial and personal property and casualty insurance. He provides comprehensive individual solutions using life insurance, annuities and long term care insurance.

Peter earned his Bachelor of Arts in English from Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois and his Masters of Science in Health Administration from the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center.

Peter enjoys gardening, most sports, particularly those involving a racquet, and most of all, the time that he spends with his amazing wife, kids and a gaggle of grandkids.
