Steve Schaumberger, Managing Director of NFP Insurance Solutions, has been connecting friends, advocating for clients and solving problems throughout his professional career.  For the past 35 years, he has worked closely with professionals and advisors to design and implement strategies providing innovative, cost-effective insurance and risk management solutions on behalf of families and businesses. 

 

Steve has authored myriad articles, including “Insurance Arbitrage,” “Mitigating the Triple Tax Whammy,” “Creating a Framework to Control Cost,” and “Seeing the Forest through the Trees: A Look at the Turnover Cost on a Company’s Bottom Line.”  He has spoken extensively on planned giving and philanthropy at industry conferences, including M Financial, Partners Financial, the Chicago Estate Planning Council, Forum 400 and AALU.  Steve also has served on the advisory boards of several insurance carriers.

 

Steve is a graduate of the University of Michigan and Harvard Business School.  He is the past president of the Harvard Business School Club of Chicago and a current board member of the Harvard Club of Chicago.  He is also a member of the Economic Club of Chicago, the Executives Club of Chicago, the JUF Professional Advisory Committee, the Chicago Estate Planning Council, the Greater North Shore Estate & Financial Planning Council and the Annual Fund of Ravinia Festival.

 

Steve is also an avid photographer who hopes to one day publish a book of his extensive sunrise and sunset pictures.
